Ideas Camps on civic engagement

Alpbach IDEAS kicked off at this year’s European Forum Alpbach (19th of August – 2nd September 2023, Austria) with three dynamic Ideas Camps. Participants learned how to articulate their visions, delved into different problem-solving approaches and put the learned frameworks into practice. Interdisciplinary teams can now further work on their ideas in an open space (Alpbach Ideas Infopoint), supported by mentors from different disciplines.

Following a public and jury voting, those teams with the most impactful and well-defined ideas will have the opportunity to participate in three bootcamps starting in November 2023. They will receive some funding to test their concepts, and eventually participate in the European Forum Alpbach 2024 to present their ideas for a bolder Europe.

Alpbach Ideas is a year-long journey initiated by the European Forum Alpbach and and part of the EU project Ideas for Europe. It aims to tackle pressing EU-challenges on a community, societal and global level. Alpbach Ideas wants to provide aspiring change makers and innovators with a space to experiment, learn & co-create ideas for the future of the EU, and to support participants through collaborative workshops, access to tools, mentorship, or simply by asking the right questions.
